Hydraulic Powered "Robotic" Arm
In this project students can learn about the mechanics and design of a hydraulic powered robotic arm. This activity can be easily adapted to a distance learning scenario in classes such as Principles of Engineering, DDP, Robotics, or an applied STEM course such as World of Technology.
Use the cut diagram linked below and a laser cutter to pre-cut pieces for your students, or send them a template to do it on their own! Use the below resources to cover basics of hydraulics, levers, and blueprint reading.
